Positive: Good space for a couple with good cooking facilities. We were warmly welcomed by our host, Kris. A very cute, standalone cottage/hut with some pretty cool furniture on the deck. Great location - away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Tekapo, Round Hill and Mt Dodson that it was very convenient. Very quiet and no road noise. We’d stay here again! NB: it’s tucked away behind the vintage shops and you need to drive through the shops to get to the hut. Took us a minute to find it!

Positive: It is very quaint. In the summer I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again. (We were actually in Jack Daniel’s)
Negative: The heater really couldn’t manage to keep the temperature up in ski weather. The bed was warm. We were fine. But it would have been a bit of an ordinary evening if we hadn’t gone to the Kimbell pub for dinner.

Positive: This place was booked on a whim when looking for a place to stay close to Tekapo but within a budget and we are so happy to have booked it. Kris was an amazing host who was always eager to chat and help out. The place had a beautiful view (plus alpacas which is always a plus) and cute little vintage stores right out front which we were not expecting but found fascinating! Great place to stay and well worth the price!
